Bachelor of Music in Performance
I am 33 years old and have been playing violin since I was 8 years old. I studied violin at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and have a Bachelor of Music in Performance. I have been teaching violin for the past 12 years. I have taught violin at the Booval School of Music at Ipswich and at Calamvale Community College. I currently teach at Carmel College and from my home at Mansfield, QLD . I am very experienced in preparing students for AMEB exams. I am also happy to teach students that want to learn violin for fun. I have experience teaching both adults and children.
I currently enjoy performing with the Offenbach Strings at weddings and the Lord Brisbane’s Imperial Orchestra.
My students will have a good foundation in posture and technique. I will accompany my students with piano in each lesson. Many of my students will successfully complete AMEB exams. As each student will learn differently it is important that each lesson is structured for the needs of each individual student. My teaching style is about being kind, positive and encouraging. I am committed to helping every student reach their full potential.
Please call or email me to discuss lesson times. I am available after school from 3.30pm-8pm everyday. I am also available Saturday. If you are an adult wanting to learn violin, I can negotiate suitable times for you.
If you are a beginner please contact me for a free 15 minute introductory lesson to discuss what you will need to buy and a quick play of my violin.
I currently teach from beginner to AMEB grade 7.
