FeldenKrais Method Workshop: This was a chance for me to learn the way our bodies work when we play our string instruments. Ultimately, it was a fun and relaxing way to learn how to play more comfortably. This method is very similar to Alexander Technique, and was useful for identifying technical difficulties in playing the Cello.

September 2008
Australian Youth Orchestra’s Young Australian Concert Artists Regional Residency: This was a chance for my Quartet to perform and practice intensely throughout Regional NSW and QLD. We were required to Teach, give Master Classes, Conduct String Orchestra’s and take sectionals. We also successfully ran a 3 day winter school workshop for kids, aged 7 to 15, to help them create their own music. We used Orff-Schulwerk activities to get the children involved in group singing and games, before we got down to composing our own 2 minutes pieces in small groups of string players, coming together at the end of the workshop for a public performance.

August 2008
Cello Master Classes: Giving lessons and advice to beginner through to advanced String players. This was run through the University of England Regional Conservatorium

April 2008
Cello tutor at Orange Public school, Dubbo Christian School, Dubbo south: This was part of a Regional Tour arranged by the Sydney Conservatorium to take Music to the Bush. We were involved in Chamber music concerts in Orange, Wellington, Narromine, Dubbo and Dunedoo. We had to help beginner string players with their ensemble parts in each town and show them different music from Russian, French and Italian composers.
