LMusA in Piano Performance, HSC Music 2 97/100 (2016), HSC Music Extension 50/50 (2017)
From the age of 6, Ryan has been studying music and the art of piano playing. At the age of 7, he was accepted into the Australian International Conservatorium of Music (now called the Academy of Music and Performing Arts). Towards the end of 2008-2012, Ryan became an active member of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Rising Stars program, where he was accustomed to performing regularly. Here, he studied piano with Russian teacher Natalia Sheludiakova and music theory with Dr. John Terry. In 2010, Ryan was also selected to perform solo in the Verbrugghen Hall as part of Open Academy’s Gala Day Concert.
Being accepted into the highly selective Sydney Conservatorium High School in 2012, Ryan continued his piano studies under the tutelage of Dr. Natalia Andreeva to whom he credits his deep understanding of music and knowledge on the art of piano playing from.
On multiple occasions Ryan has performed solo in local hospitals. In 2015 he has performed chamber music at the Government House Concert in the presence of Mrs. Linda Hurley and His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley.
In 2016, Ryan was selected to perform and broadcast for the Young and Even Younger Performers program of Fine Music 102.5 FM. A few months later he was awarded his LMusA for Piano Performance. Being selected to accelerate in the HSC Music 2 program a year earlier, Ryan received a 97/100 mark and his HSC piano performance was further nominated for possible inclusion in ENCORE.
Being elected as Brahms House Captain at Sydney’s Conservatorium High School, Ryan led and conducted Brahms House Orchestra (a large group of students aged 11-17) performing to a full house in the Verbrugghen Hall. Alongside his co-captain, their leadership marked Brahms House as the winning house of 2016 House Concerts.
In 2017, Ryan was selected by Jonar Nader to lead his chamber ensemble (Brahms Tango Ensemble), performing live at the ALF event in the presence of Nissan-Renault chief Mr Carlos Ghosn KBE, university Chancellor Belinda Hitchinson AM, and 400 distinguished guests in the MacLaurin Hall (University of Sydney) for a talent showcase. Ryan has also been selected to perform at the Steinway Gallery Showroom in St. Leonards in July 2017.
The end of 2017 also saw Ryan graduating from the Conservatorium High School with an ATAR of 97.55. His performances in HSC Music Extension were awarded full marks and too were nominated for ENCORE.
This year, Ryan is studying a Bachelor of Performance (Piano) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
