Sean’s School of Music offers a range of lesson options. We cater for the needs of beginners all the way through to advanced students. We teach everyone from very young children (pre-primary school) all the way through to adults. We offer lessons in guitar, piano and bass guitar in many variations of learning methods; including performance and theory through to songwriting and recording.
Sean Connolly is a Bassist/Composer/Teacher from the western suburbs of Melbourne. He began playing piano at the age of seven and later developed a passion for the bass guitar in high school. Dabbling in many instruments, such as guitar and trumpet, in high school; he decided to pursue the bass guitar primarily. He graduated VCE in 2011, completing three different music subjects and receiving awards for each; Solo Music Investigation, Group Music Performance, and VET Music Industry. In 2012, Sean started tertiary education at the Victorian College of the Arts studying Contemporary Music Performance as his major in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. He completed his studies under the guidance of Christopher Hale in 2014.
Sean has been teaching guitar, piano and bass privately since 2010 and previously through a company that offered group lessons. Prior to that he was a swimming teacher at the local swim centre. He has run masterclasses and mentored at Williamstown High School in the music programs.
