Japanese born flautist Shion Liu Inomata started playing the flute from the age of 10. She gained her bachelor’s degree in 2009 from Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo Japan. She toured with Toho Gakuen Orchestra to Kyoto and Nagoya to play the flute solo in C.Debussy’s masterpiece, “Prelude to the afternoon of a faun”. In 2007, she won the Panel’s Award in the concert held by Tokyo International Artist Association. After graduating Toho Gakuen School of Music, she was selected within the woodwind section to perform in Yamaha Newcomer Concert and Flute Debut Recital sponsored by Japan Flutist Association.
Both in Japan and Australia, Shion eagerly participated in master classes of Michel Bellavance, George Pope, Felix Renglli, Vincence Platz paris, Andreas Brau and Paul Meisen.
Shion recently completed her Masters degree at Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Shion enjoys teaching her students, and often shares that joy with the parents and friends of student by holding a concert!
