Strings Alive Academy is accepting enrolments for group and individual string tuition, available for students of all ages and levels.

Jeremy Williams, (violin, viola, ensembles)
Jeremy Williams has dedicated himself to training string players of all ages following a career that has involved performing with orchestras and ensembles, including the London Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Nash Ensemble and the Australian and Grainger String Quartets.
Previously Lecturer in Chamber Music, appointed Director of Strings in 2011 at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music in Hobart, Jeremy built up a successful string department and visits Hong Kong regularly training talented young string players.
Head of Junior Programme (violin, ensembles)
Yuen Yum is internationally regarded as an outstanding educator of young players in individual, group and large ensembles. She was the first recipient of the Hong Kong Government Music Scholarship to study at Wells Cathedral School, England and graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1986.
Appointed Principal Music Educator at the University of Tasmania in 2010, Yuen Yum successfully implemented a new junior string programme. She returned to Sydney in 2014 as co Director of Strings Alive Academy.
Anita Crawford (violin, viola, ensembles)
As a scholarship holder, Anita completed her undergraduate studies at the Australian Institute of Music, studying with Winifred Durie and later, Dr. Deborah Lander. She has worked as a freelance violist with many ensembles, including the Sydney Sinfonia Orchestra, the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
Anita currently teaches both viola and violin.
Andrew Wilson (cello, ensembles)
Since returning from studying in the UK in 2001, Andrew has taught at several major Sydney schools including Ascham and Knox Grammar School and is an experienced and sought after orchestral and chamber music coach.
Andrew currently plays with the Australian Opera and ballet and is a founder member of Ensemble Vinifera.
