BMus, 4 years at Australian National Academy of Music., Masters of Music Studies (Performance), Griffith University
Hi everyone –
please check out my website for a more detailed bio:
I am an established violist, hailing from Melbourne, and an experienced teacher and mentor, having over a decade in teaching experience. I teach part time at 1 schools and privately from my home studio and frequently freelance and play for Orchestra Victoria. I have tutored string groups at Melbourne Youth Music and am a frequent guest mentor at the Monash Academy Orchestra.
I can teach children from 6 years and older, but this is subject to meeting and assessing their attention span and general readiness to start playing, and of course any age beyond! I use a range of different books and materials to supplement the lessons, and keep it always fresh and interesting.
I have a Bachelor Degree in Music, advanced performance stream, and several years experience at the esteemed Australian National Academy of Music. I also have a Master of Music studies, with a Graduate award of Excellence. I have also played with very fine orchestras, including the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, Australian National Academy of Music Orchestra, Victorian Opera and Orchestra Victoria, Auckland Philharmonia as well as further study in Switzerland, Berlin and Paris.
I’m happy to do a free 15 minute assessment of yours or your childs’ playing – if you think we might be a good match and work well together, then we can arrange lessons from there.
