Bachelor of Music (Honours 1)

Tadijana began playing the violin at the age of 6 studying with Suzanne Borrett. In 2006, whilst studying with Elizabeth Holowell, she obtained a Bachelor of Music from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Tadijana returned to Australia in 2007 to study with Dr. Susan Collins at the University of Newcastle, where she completed a Bachelor of Music (Honours) with First Class and received the Faculty Medal for her outstanding results. Tadijana received the prestigious Australian Postgraduate Award to continue her studies as a research higher degree student and is currently completing her PhD in music, under the supervision of Dr. Susan Collins and Associate Professor Rosalind Halton.

During her undergraduate years Tadijana was concertmaster of the University of Newcastle Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra. In New Zealand, she auditioned successfully for a place in a chamber orchestra conducted by Wolfram Christ (Berlin Philharmonic).

In 2012 whilst studying with Marina Marsden (Sydney Symphony Orchestra) she successfully auditioned for a position in Professor Igor Ozim’s violin class at the Mozarteum International Summer Academy in Salzburg, Austria. From 2012 – 2013 Tadijana has been studying with Professor Tomasz Tomaszewski, Concertmaster of the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. Currently, Tadijana is performing with Das Sinfonie Orchester Berlin and was selected as a Britten-Pears Young Artist 2013 in Aldeburgh, UK. Tadijana regularly performs as a member of Sydney Sinfonia, Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, Hudson Arc and Ensemble ARC. She also teaches violin at the Newcastle Conservatorium and works as a session musician recording and performing with many artists including; Hudson Arc, The Snowdroppers, Amy Vee, Daniel March and Ben Webb.

Musicians she has worked with in a masterclass/workshop situation include Vladimir Ashkenazy, Ulf Hoelscher, Carl Pini, Sun Yi, Charmian Gadd, Goetz Richter, Berent Korfker, Natsuko Yoshimoto, James Cuddeford, Shuti Huang, Roy Howat, Miriam Allan, Uwe Grodd and Rae de Lisle.
