THE TONE DEAF CLINIC – UNLOCK YOUR HIDDEN POTENTIAL.
Have you ever been told to “Just mime the words dear”?
Do you feel anxious and embarrassed when you might have to sing ‘Happy birthday’ ?
The ‘Tone Deaf’ Clinic is the course for you. Over eleven years, hundreds of people have been liberated by learning to sing with the professional help of Gillian Bonham at The Music Practice.
The Aim Of The Course
Learning to sing in a group is not just about music, it is also about improving self esteem.
It is a life affirming experience, giving you confidence to interact with others and have fun.
The Tone Deaf Clinic is a ten week course which will help you to overcome your inhibitions and enable you to sing in tune over a restricted range so that you can relax and confidently participate in choral activities with other people.
Next course begins Thursday 17th July, 2008 at 7.00pm.
What the students say…
“When I opened my mouth in the Tone Deaf Clinic and heard a note come out, and it was the right note, the same as everyone else’s – and I held it there firmly and no one laughed…well, tears just burst from me. It was like years of fear and embarrassment, of feeling unfeminine and ugly, it melted away, it was like conquering Everest.” Eva – Paediatrician
“I was shocked when Gillian had us singing in tune and in two parts at the end of term concert I’ve never felt so proud of anything. We all had goose bumps and I could have hugged everyone in the group. Now when I have to sing Happy Birthday at my children’s parties I belt it out proudly and even sing in harmony.” John – Magistrate
