Having studied the recorder for 8 years, Tom Fitridge has had the privilege of playing with ensembles such as the Primary Schools’ Recorder Ensemble, Marryatville High School Baroque Ensemble, and Marryatville Baroque Ensemble.
He has been fortunate enough to have performed the recorder in St. Peter’s Cathedral, Elder Hall, and the Town Hall with the Marryatville Baroque Ensemble, with a highlight being a performance of Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’ with the Adelaide Philharmonia Chorus at the Town Hall earlier this year.
Tom also plays saxophone and clarinet, and has completed his AMEB grade 8 clarinet exam.
Other achievements include playing Tenor Saxophone in MHS Big Band One at Mount Gambier for Generations in Jazz Competition where the band won the national division one title in 2012 and 2013. He was also selected to play saxophone in the national ‘Super Band’ in 2012 and 2013 for GIJ.
Tom offers lessons for saxophone, clarinet and recorder for beginner to intermediate level students, including those who have had no prior musical experience.
