Tom Krieg is a passionate, well-rounded music educator specialising in teaching Guitar, Electric Bass, Double Bass and Ukulele to students of all ages and abilities.
Tom has a unique and engaging teaching style that he tailors to suit students of all walks of life. He appreciates that every one learns differently, that’s why he draws inspirations from a multitude of written, aural and visual resources as well as his own personal experience as a teacher and as a musician.
With Tom’s lessons you will focus on all the necessary tools to become the best musician you can be, and have fun whilst doing it! Lessons can be as simple as learning your favourite songs or can be more focused on understanding how these parts are constructed and how these ideas can be used to create your own music. He also specialises in teaching improvisation, technique, theory and aural skills.
Tom is a highly sought after professional musician and teacher with over 17 years playing experience and 10 years of teaching. He currently plays in some of Melbourne’s leading bands as well as teaching classroom music and instrumental music in secondary schools across Victoria. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Elder Conservatorium (2006) and a Masters of teaching from Melbourne University (2012). He is currently a fully registered Victorian teacher.
