Travis Jenkins is a Brisbane based multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, teacher and performer. He has been studying and playing the guitar for 15 years, has an extensive knowledge of western music theory, and has completed his Bachelor of Music at the Jazz Music Institute in Brisbane in 2013.
As a Brisbane based freelance session musician for more than a decade, Travis has many years of experience in the studio and on the stage, has proficient industry knowledge and can provide advice on how to promote yourself and begin your career as a working artist. He has a lot of experience in performance, from playing in small café/lounge settings, to weddings and private functions and has played at major festivals such as Sounds of Spring, Big Day Out, Island Vibe and Woodford Folk Festival.
His eclectic interest in a broad range of musical styles means that whether you’re interested in folk, jazz, rock, blues, metal, or just about anything he can assist you to refine your skills as a musician and break your boundaries to reach a level of musical facility that may have seemed unattainable.
