Aaron Klein is a freelancer that regularly works with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria.
Aaron’s formal education includes a Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of Paul Champion and David Thomas.
Aaron also worked full time in the Royal Australian Air Force Band for three years after winning a job there. A talented multi-instrumentalist - he is equally at home on the bass clarinet, Japanese bamboo flute or the ocarina.
As founder of Ensemble con Fuoco, Aaron has appeared at the Melbourne Recital Centre performing the Bartok Contrasts for Clarinet, Violin and Piano as well as commissioned over 20 new Australian works with the chamber group.
Aaron has also performed the ocarina on a professional basis - recording and performing music from sound tracks such as 'The Legend of Zelda'.
When not playing the clarinet, Aaron is an avid freestyle skier, freelance graphic designer and fire-eating enthusiast.
I enjoy teaching towards goals, such as AMEB exams, but will also take on students that are only interested in playing in a much more relaxed and leisurely manor.
I have a current WWC check and am also an accredited teacher with the Victorian Music Teachers Association.
