Ear Training & Musicianship

Ear Training is an essential tool for all musicians to help develop an accurate musical ear, hone their intonation and improve their sight-reading. Our ear training sessions focus on interval, chord, and scale recognition, scale degrees, sight-reading/singing, cadences, chord patterns, rhythmic dictation and melodic dictation. Musicianship encompasses a good knowledge of music theory, the ability to read music and making thoughtful artistic choices. These lessons can focus on any of the above aspects depending on the needs of the student.
