My name is Adela, and I am a passionate and creative violinist with twelve years of experience. I am studying at an AMEB Grade 8 level and am a member of the Adelaide Youth Orchestra. I also have advanced training in theoretical, aural, and historical music studies. I am working towards my AMEB Diploma in Associateship (AMusA) in Musicianship, and I am currently studying Musicology at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. I graduated from Mitcham Girls High School in 2019 with an A in SACE Stage 2 Music Studies, the highest mark in my class.
I have tutored beginner and intermediate violin, viola, and music theory students throughout my high school years.
I teach fun, flexible, and engaging lessons designed for each individual! My lesson plans are tailored to suit learners of all ages and interests, whether they are looking perfect classical technique, study for AMEB examinations or school classes, or to play pop music for leisure. I aim to instil confidence, creativity, and a love of learning in my students.
My own recent experience as a student tasks me with a unique and effective perspective, allowing me to relate to and engagingly teach young learners.
I am available to teach beginner and intermediate violin up until AMEB Grade 4 performance, and for leisure. I can also tutor Musicianship up until AMEB Grade 6 and for school purposes (including SACE Stage 2 Music Studies.) I teach to ages 8 and above, including adults of all ages.
I charge $25 per half hour. I generally teach in my home in the Torrens Park area, though I can arrange to come to your home or teach over Zoom or FaceTime.
