BMUS (Music Education) at Sydney Conservatorium of Music, AMEB 8th Grade Saxophone, Current WWCC
Having graduated from the Conservatorium of Music in 2012, Adele has 10+ years combined teaching experience- teaching private instrumental lessons, teaching within a classroom setting (primary and secondary), assisting with band workshops and also conducting primary school bands and choirs.
Happy to teach all ages. Lessons operate from Haberfield Woodwind Studio. Or if there are multiple students in the one location, another location may be agreed upon consultation. Early musicianship grades also an option.
Focussed on developing the correct technique (especially in sound production) so students can become versatile, successful players. Adele is classically trained, and her passion for developing the correct technique from the start ensures students are set off on the right path from the get go. This benefits students as having correct technique opens them up to a larger range of repertoire. It also helps prevent minor injuries that could result in limited playing ability and enjoyment in the future.
I am always open to students playing the music they would like to play and find enjoyable. So I am happy for them to bring along pieces they are working on in a band they belong to, or pieces they have found and would like to learn.
