I am a classically trained pianist from Indonesia, currently looking forward to teaching children. I am also a University of Melbourne student, though not studying music in University.
I specialise in teaching classical music on the piano and have had experience teaching children from ages 7 and above (across varying levels of knowledge and skills on the piano) for about 2 years (2013 - 2014). During those days my students have achieved success in their piano-related endeavours including ABRSM exams and regional competitions. However, thanks to moving between Indonesia, Singapore, and Australia I stopped providing piano lessons.
I completed my Grade 8 Practical and Grade 6 Theory ABRSM exams in 2015, as well as participated in several local and regional piano competitions in 2012 - 2015. I have also done a Higher Level Music subject in the IB (International Baccalaureate) and obtained high marks for it (7 out of 7).
Thanks to my previous experiences, such as going through the ABRSM exams and teaching students, I am confident in my knowledge of the ABRSM system as well as my experience in piano competitions to be able to guide any student to learn pieces (for any purpose).
