Ailinn Amelie B.Mus (Hons)

  • Bachelor of Music (performance)
  • Bachelor of Music (Hons)

I am a professional musician who has worked as a classical soprano for operatic productions and private functions, as well as singing jazz standards in a hotel restaurant setting.

I have over 5 years of teaching experience, both in schools and with private students. I have taught all ages from young primary school children to adults.

I play the piano and ukulele and utilitise these skills in lessons, but depending on what style of music the student likes I can also use backing tracks. I am able to teach a range of genres, from classical to folk and contemporary.

In my lessons I cover technique, performance and theory, although students are free to choose their own focus. In my opinion it is important to cater to each student's individual needs to help them grow to their full potential, and I strive to give each student lessons which are customised to their personalities and abilities. I also try and foster a love of music and a love of learning in each of my students, and find particular joy in seeing them exploring these in other aspects of their lives.

I teach from my home studio in Prahran, which is close to several forms of public transport and is easily accessible by car.
