I am a 20 year old pianist boasting 12 years in the field of piano practice. I have completed the Certificate of Performance and Grade 4 music theory, and am looking to teach young and upcoming students at beginner and intermediate levels of piano and music theory. I am a mature, confident, and articulate individual, especially with my musical interests. I place an emphasis on quality over time, meaning I spend whatever time is needed for perfection.
The piano repertoire that I'll teach is flexible, depending on the interests of the student. They will be able to choose whether they'd like to do AMEB Grades, or just learn the songs they love. I have 4 years of experience teaching students of all ages, in particular 4-16 year olds. The results of my exam students speak for themselves, as they have never scored below Honours (A). My teaching style places an emphasis on technique and practice to help students develop the skills to be accountable and reflective upon their performances. This is done so by helping students to develop or catalyse a genuine interest in music that engages them in a manner that allows them to rapidly improve as a product of their development as a learner.
The lessons will be held at my house using my grand piano, or over zoom, if that is what you prefer. Travelling to nearby suburbs of Garran is also an option. The length of the lessons will depend on the level and progress of the student and negotiations with parents, ranging from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. Prices will be determined by the base price of $60 per hour. If you have any more questions or inquiries, please feel free to contact me through my email or phone. I currently hold a Working With Vulnerable Peoples (WWVP) card.
Thank you for taking the time to read my advertisement. I hope you can take me into consideration as you search for the piano tutor to guide you to success!
Kind Regards,
Alan
