Hi, I’m Alex! I’m a working opera singer and teach voice with my wife Kyla from our home studio in Kilaben Bay as well as online.

I hold a Bachelor of Music and Graduate Diploma of music from WAAPA and have over 20 years of performance experience including with Opera Australia with whom I was a Young Artist and am currently a Principal Artist.

I was the Classical voice teacher for the Bachelor of Music course at Newcastle University and specialise in teaching classical singing and opera for absolute beginners through to aspiring professionals.

I’m a firm believer that singing well in any style starts with a strong foundational technique so I work with singers from any genre who are interested in developing a reliable, flexible technique and gaining a better understanding of how their voice works.
