I am an engaging and passionate violin and viola teacher. I learnt with various teachers in Switzerland including Myrtha Spahr (student of Igor Ozim) and Hyunjong Kang. Musical collaboration has always been a very important and inspiring part of my life. From early age up to today I have been involved in classical Chamber and Symphony orchestras and folk music ensembles.
Since living in Australia I performed with the Christ Church Camerata in Newcastle, toured a professional show with the “Sydney Independent Opera” on the East Coast and currently play in two folk bands.
I completed my Bachelor of Education with music focus in Switzerland in 2010. Before Melbourne became my home in beginning of 2014, I was teaching violin, viola and group music lessons at a private school in Newcastle NSW. I am currently also working as a Music School Manager in the Eastern Suburbs.
I enjoy teaching violin and viola to students of all ages and levels. I balance music lessons on the key points of learning music by ear and with sheet music, developing a good posture and working on techniques. I find it is important to develop a joy in playing one’s instrument while also practice the fundamental techniques which help to develop a beautiful sound. I adapt my lessons to the needs of the students and hope to continuously improve their musical skills with creative inputs.
I can offer lessons in English or German.
