Vocal and Music Theory Lessons

My classes are designed to create a fun, friendly and nurturing space for my students to explore the joy singing can bring.
I can assist in a multitude of genres including Jazz, Musical Theatre and Pop/Contemporary as well as preparation for HSC, Eisteddfod and Tertiary Auditions.

Areas of expertise include:

-Building confidence in a friendly environment.
-Assisting students with their ability to hear and sing their technical syllabus (scales, arpeggios, chord progressions, improvisation).
-learning how to safely extend range and build a solid vocal technique that allows students to sing freely without causing damage to their vocal health.
-Workshopping songs/Arrangements written by students and exploring different approaches to the writing process.
-Developing an understanding of music theory (harmony, pitch, rhythm, reading sheet music).

A bit About Me

I've recently moved to Sydney, working as a gigging musician and vocal tutor whilst I complete my degree of Jazz Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. I have had over 10 years of performance and Musical Theatre experience and am capable of teaching all ages and ability levels. I was accepted into the 2019 HSC Encore after studying at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts.
