Playing the piano provides joy, self-expression, personal development, social contacts and work opportunities throughout a lifetime of musical participation. I'm passionate about sharing these benefits with my students.

Whether you are a young beginner or an experienced player, I have an engaging teaching style and an individualised approach to lessons that will inspire you to reach your potential. I emphasize the development of good technique and a patient, confident approach to practice while exploring repertoire that you love and developing your musicality.

My program includes technique development, transposition and improvisation, music reading, developing a practical understanding of music theory, performance mindset training, learning to play a wide variety of repertoire and ensemble playing.

In over 20 years of teaching, I have prepared students for AMEB, Trinity College, ABRSM, Board of Studies (HSC) and university graduate performance examinations as well as encouraging and supporting students’ other performance and teaching goals.
