Hello,
My name is Amelia and I am a patient teacher who is passionate about encouraging my students to do the best they can. I have been teaching students for 4 years. My service is available to students of all levels and ages. I am fluent in both mandarin and English. I charge $40 per half an hour and $60 per hour and currently I only tutor from my home in Macgregor; Online violin lessons are also available. I graduated from Somerville House in 2018 and I have a record of musical excellence, and I am able to offer 14 years of experience in musical leadership, performances and AMEB examinations.
I started violin at the age of 7 under Kerry Smith for 6 years. I then took lessons from Michele Walsh for 5 years, the Head of Strings at Griffith Conservatorium of music. In 2013 I achieved an award with distinction for my AmusA exam and received my LmusA in 2015. I played in QYO ensembles (from QYO3 to QYO2) for 4 years. I was also a 2016 finalist in the English Family Prize competition in ABC studios.
