Hi, my name is Amy and I am a performer and instrumental music teacher who loves seeing students learn, create and perform music with a smile on their face.

I have taught more than 100 students violin, viola, piano, music theory, composition, improvisation and aural skills. So far my students have achieved personal goals at every level, received high distinctions in AMEB and ABRSM exams, entered university music degrees, and received high distinctions and distinctions in university courses.

I have a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University, majoring in performance and pedagogy. I have also studied music at the Australian National University and won awards for the performing arts.

Some of my amazing teachers include Bridget Crouch, Michele Walsh, Graeme Jennings, Stephen Chin, Jann Keir-Haantera, Jenni Flemming, Loreta Fin, Nathalie Sharp, Keith Sharp, Mei-Lee Stocker, Barbara Gilby, Rosemary Macphail and more.

In over 10 years of performing I have played with the Queensland Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra, Concerto's Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Divertimenti String Ensemble, Baroque Ensemble, Quartets, Canberra Youth Orchestra, the band Earthly Delights, Jazz Band, Senior Concert Band and more.

I have tutored Music Theory courses at the Queensland Conservatorium, taught violin and piano at the Forte School of Music, assisted and run string ensembles at Alfred Deaking High School and assisted at the Woden School for Disabled Children.

I am also very experienced with injury prevention and rehabilitation in regards to instrumental playing.
