Amy is a Canadian cellist with an international career and a passion for inspiring the next generation of musicians. She has performed across North America, Europe, and Asia, appearing as both a soloist, chamber, and orchestral cellist.
Amy offers private cello lessons for students of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced musicians preparing for auditions and competitions.
Her teaching focuses on building a technical foundation, expressive musicianship, and effective practice habits, while fostering confidence and a genuine love for the instrument. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether this be exams, auditions, performance preparation or learning as a hobby.
From 2023 to 2025, she was a tenured section cellist with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra in North Carolina, USA, following four seasons at the world-renowned New World Symphony in Miami Beach.
Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Amy studied at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where she completed both her undergraduate studies and Artist Diploma.
Amy holds a current Working With Children Check and offers lessons in both English and Korean.
