Amy Thomson

Amy is a fun and dedicated piano teacher with 20 years of experience playing and performing music. She has completed her AMusA in piano with the Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) and up to Suzuki Graduation VIII on piano and cello.

She holds a psychology major from Sydney University and loves working with children and adults of all ages.

Amy is working towards completion of Certificate III in Suzuki Piano Teaching, which involves observation and working with other music teachers, developing child-centred learning skills and creating a nurturing environment suitable for students.

Amy’s performance experiences include

  • Principle cellist in Sydney Youth Orchestra
  • Penrith Symphony Orchestra
  • Blue Mountains Orchestra
  • Performance in HSC Music 2 and Music Extension
  • Performance at the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba
