Amy is a third year violin student enrolled in a Bachelor of Music with a strong focus on performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (University of Melbourne). She completed her first year with 1st Class Honours. Amy's string quartet were invited to perform at Parliament House in Canberra in front of important government officials, and have recently returned from a mini music tour to South Korea and a music festival in America. She has been immersed in music from a very young age, playing the violin, piano, guitar and singing in various forms and styles.

Amy is a motivated, kind and dedicated music teacher who's primary goal is to unlock her students musical potential and spark a passion. Through her experiences in ensemble and solo playing, private teaching, group teaching and music leadership; a love, appreciation and passion for music has been cultivated. This passion flows into her teaching lessons by using a blend of technical, musical and scholarly tuition. She is also trained in classical piano and has an extensive knowledge of music theory and history.

Amy has been learning and perfecting the violin for 14 years and is still continuing to pursue her love for the instrument. She is currently very involved in orchestral (University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra) and chamber ensembles (string quartets, piano trios) where she thoroughly enjoys collaborative work and playing a range of different musical styles. In 2016, Amy was the first place winner of the regional section of the Australian Youth Classical Music Competition.

Amy is very flexible with time, and can tailor lessons to your needs and wants. She is more than happy to work with people of all ages, and has a valid working with childrens check.
