Andrew completed his Master of Music Therapy from the University of Melbourne in 2018, during which time he gained practical experience working in a specialist school for children with profound and multiple disabilities, palliative care, progressive neurological disease care, neurorehabilitation, and at a high school for student isolated or excluded from the mainstream school system.
Andrew is registered to work with NDIS participants, and offers personalised individual music therapy sessions working with clients to achieve their functional and therapeutic goals. High quality music therapy programs are offered for people with intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, progressive neurological diseases, neurorehabilitative needs, and aged care. Emphasis is put on empowering clients, focussing on strengths, and creating positive experiences through the systematic use of music.
Also, with over 15 years playing experience and having taught in both private and teaching school settings, Andrew is a friendly, methodical, and fun drum and music theory teacher. With live guitar, drum, and vocal experience, and an extensive knowledge of music theory, a holistic approach can be taken. Focusing only on improving drum skills or music theory knowledge can also be done. The main goal is satisfaction and fun. That's what music is all about!
