Angela began her musical journey with the piano when she was 6 years old. A sensitive and emotive pianist, she studied Classical Pianoforte privately under the guidance of Ann O'Hearn, lecturer from the University of Newcastle, and then from sixth grade Pianoforte onwards, Classical and Jazz with Christine Brown, retired lecturer of Jazz and Piano Pedagogy, University of Adelaide. Angela also completed her last Theory grades under Mary Mosses.
After completing all of her exams twelve years later with hard work, perseverance and overcoming many battles of self-doubt, Angela successfully achieved her Associate Diploma of Music in Performance (AMEB) in 2003 at 18 years of age. She has been teaching Piano from her private studio and across several schools from Noosa to Caloundra from 2002-2017.
As a keyboardist & vocalist, she has worked as a session pianist, was keyboardist/vocalist in a local well-known blues band "Crossroads", then in 2011 she formed a trio with a new flavour "HotHouse", immersing in the many colours of bossanova, latin jazz, funk, soul, and 70's RnB. She regularly does solo performances and loves the feeling of sharing her music and heart with her listeners.
Her vibrant personality and passion for learning underpins her teaching philosophies. She encourages and empowers her students to make learning, playing and sharing their music with others an important part of a healthy, balanced, creative life.
Now raising a young family she has continued to teach her students but with a much more restricted schedule.
In the Fitness industry, from 2005-2014, she empowers her clients to regain control of their life, fitness and gut health. She is currently not taking on any new fitness clients.
