Anna Rushmer

Anna commenced her music studies from the age of five and settled on the flute by eight. She has been studying with Kellie Grennan for several years, during which time, Anna excelled in her HSC music units at Fort Street High School. In 2014, Anna was awarded a distinction for her ATCL diploma in performance from the Trinity College London. In 2019 she graduated from University of Technology Sydney with a Bachelor of Communications (Social and Political Sciences) and spent her spare time on music, playing in orchestras. She is currently working toward her Masters of Music at AMPA

Having worked with young students in a variety for fields over the last ten years, Anna is dedicated and creative in teaching. She is committed to students establishing good flute playing posture and practising habits from the very first lesson. Anna began teaching flute with Windworks at the beginning of 2015. Since then she has become a school tutor at Summer Hill, Tempe and Croydon Park Public Schools. She was also a Kumon tutor from 2011 - 2015, and upon completion of her ATCL certificate in Flute in 2014, she volunteered for the remainder of the year as an english and mathematics tutor in indigenous communities in the Northern Territory.
