Hi, I’m Annabelle Freeman, and I am currently in my third year studying a Bachelor of Music in classical clarinet performance at the University of Queensland.

I am the 2026 principal clarinet of the Queensland Youth Symphony and was awarded the UQ School of Music O'Brien Prize in 2025. I also won first prize in the 2025 Queensland Clarinet and Saxophone Society open division.
I received my AMUS A in 2020 and have since been developing my performance skills and have been teaching since 2024.

My students have consistently achieved high marks in AMEB from grades 2 to grade 7, and I have guided students successfully through high school admissions auditions and scholarship auditions.

I have firsthand experience with completing nerve-wracking AMEB exams, winning competitive eisteddfods, and preparing for important high school, university and orchestral auditions. I was the first person to be accepted into Brisbane State High School on two instruments (clarinet and cello), so I really understand the ins and outs of these processes and can provide practical support.

If AMEB, eisteddfods and other music exams aren't your thing, I can easily tailor my teaching to the student's individual needs and goals. Whether that be learning for fun or just wanting to improve your musical skills, I will provide lessons that work for you.

I am dedicated to having the development of musical and technical skills at the core of my teaching while ensuring a fun and engaging student-centred environment.
