French horn lessons

I’m happy to teach horn students from age 8 upwards, with adults in particular very welcome. I’ll enjoy working together with you or your child toward exams, technique improvement, learning repertoire, and/or for leisure.

I have a Bachelor degree in Music Performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (2007), and many years of experience playing in orchestras, musicals, small ensembles, concert bands and brass bands.

I have a keen interest in the natural (classical) horn. Learning about the horn that much of our repertoire was written for is an integral part of being a horn player and thus has an important role in my teaching.

I also am an experienced Tenor horn player, and I would be happy to help with transitioning between the French horn and Tenor horn.
