Anne developed her love for music through Suzuki violin lessons with Sister Marie Langtry, who along with Mary Monticone, was one of the first to introduce this method of teaching to Queensland. Learning the Twinkles was the foundation for a life that continues to be inspired by teaching and performing.
Anne has played in Brisbane Sinfonia, Geminiani Strings (Melbourne), The Sunshine Coast Orchestra and Qld Pops Orchestra. She also has a special interest in Celtic music having played fiddle and sung in Celtic Bands for many years.
Anne has over 30 years of rich teaching experience having run Private Teaching Studios and taught in Private and State schools in Brisbane, Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast.
For over 10 years she focused solely on teaching and conducting in schools however in 2016 Anne opened a private teaching studio in Bardon.
She is passionate about teaching people to play violin, supporting students to master new skills and develop confidence whatever their level of ability. Anne enjoys the privilege of encouraging and nurturing students of all ages to discover and believe in their own abilities and experience the joy of playing the violin.
