$35 per 30-minute lesson
$50 per 45-minute lesson
$65 per 60-minute lesson

Ansel started his musical passion with classical piano since a young age. Throughout his schooling years, he has participated in both solo and ensemble performances. During these years, he received a High Distinction (A+) for Grade 8 Piano Performance with the Australian Music Examination Board.

Ansel has studied classical piano majoring in Music General Studies, with Assistant Professor Graeme Gilling at the University of Western Australia, and plans to complete the Associate in Music, Australia (AMusA). Aside from teaching privately, Ansel has also had teaching experience in institutional settings, having taught as a piano teacher at Perth Music Academy, Willetton. Being a huge fan of jazz and contemporary music, he has a great passion in playing-by ear, improvisation, extended chord structures, scales and modes. In this way, he always seeks opportunities to incorporate the development of harmony and aural skills alongside the technical aspect of piano in his teaching.

With enthusiasm and a joyful teaching style, Ansel has had experience in teaching children as well as adults, in both institutional and private settings. He believes creating an endearing atmosphere for students is the first step in allowing students to pursue their own musical journey. As such, his approach to piano teaching for all his students is grounded upon making music into positive learning experience.

It is an expectation that all students have a piano or keyboard at home so they may practice and reinforce what is covered during lessons.
