I am a second generation drummer/latin percussionist in my final year of my degree (Bachelor of Music Performance, majoring in drum set). I have over 10 years of playing experience and have recently started my teaching journey. I currently play drums in a funky latin/middle eastern fusion band that does all original material and also percussion for a neo-soul collective and an electronic music group. However, I am experienced with (and have love for) all styles and genres as my degree covers the whole contemporary music spectrum.
I want to help people overcome barriers getting in the way of becoming the drummer they have the potential to be! I've encountered many of these barriers myself in my practice and found joy in devising ways around them. I'd love to impart this joy to others and hopefully inspire people to always try different approaches before giving up! I'm a firm believer that there's a place for everyone in music and the arts.
