Aural Training

Aural training / ear training / musical brain. No matter what name you like if your raw musical skills are improved you will learn a whole lot faster and better.

Suitable for exams as well. Increasing your aural mark will help to give you a better result.

We have a unique ipad based system where you can practice as much as you like in your own time. Then log into Theta Ear Training using our studio agreement that we have set up for our students.

These Ipad files use an app called Sibelius Scorch which you will need to purchase ($A1.99 as of Nov 2013). The files are then able to be purchased using the store of the app. Each file is approx $A2.00 as of Nov 2013.

Each file focuses on an aural topic and is usually about 10 -15 pages long filled with hints and exercises to do. The student can watch the music as they are played. Sing along.

The files are training tools and not tests!! If the student practice with these files then the teacher or Theta can test them.
