My love for music began at the early age of 8 when I began playing the clarinet. I completed grade 8 AMEB, as well as being apart of many different Sydney residing Orchestras in the SYO (Sydney Youth Orchestra). As much as I enjoyed my association with the classical side of the musical world, I felt my true calling was the drums, realising my natural affiliation with the instrument after a class assessment in high school.
From here the passion grew and subsequently introduced me to the musical styles I loves to play today such as funk, soul, fusion, jazz, rock and pop.
I went on to complete my Bachelor of Music in 2012 at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, and it was here my teaching career began.
With 7 years teaching experience under my belt I have had the pleasure of working for the likes of Allan’s and Billy Hyde, Northern Beaches Drum School, Mona Vale Music, and now for the past 4 years at Jam Studio Music in St Kilda.
Relocating to Melbourne in 2014 with an extremely valuable insight into the gigging world, I began playing with my current band Stonefox.
Receiving airtime on the likes of Triple J, high rotation on Triple J Unearthered, FBI Radio and Triple M to name just a few, my band has exceeded a Spotify count of over 6 million collective plays, and successful Australian tours to back us. Stonefox can be seen playing around Melbourne’s most prominent venues.
