Barbara Zavros Vocal Tuition

Barbara completed Bachelor of Music at the Victorian College of the Arts, and Masters of Music at Guildhall School of Music in London UK. Barbara is an award winning singer (prizewinner at the Australian Singing Competition, and winner of 97th Herald Sun Aria). She has performed professionally with Opera Australia, Oz Opera, Victorian Opera, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, the Australian International Opera Company and The Seven Sopranos. She has also performed internationally throughout the UK, Dubai, Italy and China. Barbara has also adjudicated talent competitions in Melbourne including Vanilla's Got Talent and Stage Door Competitions.

Barbara runs a vocal studio from Reservoir. She offers singing tuition to students of all ages and skill levels (beginner – advanced/professional). Students learn effective vocal and breathing technique to develop range and vocal projection. Barbara teaches VCE Performance (contemporary and classical syllabi) as well as AMEB exams (Preliminary - Licentiate).

Current and past student achievements include: Performances in professional and community theatre, finalists in the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria Awards, Outstanding AMEB and VCE results, students accepted into music degrees at Melbourne and Monash Universities.
