Hi, I’m Ben!

I teach one-on-one drum lessons from my home studio in McLaren Flat, south of Adelaide. I have helped dozens of students build their musical skills, grow in confidence, and develop their own unique voice on the drum kit, since I began teaching in 2012. I teach drummers of all levels – from absolute beginners to intermediate and advanced musicians – from ages 7 and up (adult students are very welcome!).

During their lessons, students learn the fundamentals of good hand technique, rudiments and their applications, as well as reading and understanding drum kit notation. We explore a variety of musical styles, including rock, pop, funk, jazz and metal. Students also enjoy learning how to play popular songs from some of their favourite bands and artists.

Personally, I am a lifelong student of the drums – constantly pushing myself to develop my own skills further and always looking for new opportunities share my musical knowledge and passion. In 2024, I moved into my purpose-built home studio – a space of inspiration where everything needed for a focused, fun and productive drum lesson is available at the fingertips.

Lesson times are available after school hours from Tuesday to Friday. Daytime lessons may be possible for adults and homeschool students. Feel free to ask!
