Beverly Kwan

Beverly is a classically trained violinist and dedicated music educator based in Chippendale, Sydney. Currently completing a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Distinction average, they bring a wealth of performance experience and a warm, flexible teaching style to their students.

As a 2025 Opera Australia Patricia H. Reid Orchestral Fellow and long-time member of the Australian Youth Orchestra, Beverly has performed across Australia and internationally, holding leadership roles such as Concertmaster of the Sydney Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra and Principal 1st Violin of the Sydney Concert Orchestra. She has also appeared as a soloist in recital series including Women in Music at The Women’s Club, the Camaraigal Concert Series, and the Inspire Music Emerging Artists Series. Her training has included masterclasses with renowned teachers such as Paul Kantor, Yamen Saadi, Andrew Haveron, and Dominika Falger.

As a teacher, Beverly is experienced in working with students from age 5 and up, including absolute beginners. She offers a structured but supportive approach tailored to each student's goals and learning style—whether that means preparing for AMEB exams (Preliminary to Grade 8) or simply learning for fun. With experience guiding students through successful exam preparation, she also happily welcomes those who prefer a more relaxed, non-exam path.

Lessons are available in Chippendale, with a focus on building solid technique, musical expression, and a genuine enjoyment of playing the violin.
