Having taught privately and at high schools, including Mosman High School and S.C.E.C.G.S Redlands in the past few years, Bonnie has accrued valuable experience teaching a wide variety of contemporary musical styles and is fully accredited by the Music Teacher’s Association of NSW (Teacher of Singing and Vocal Technique). In 2012, While performing at the Giant Steppes of Jazz International Festival in Ulaanbataar Mongolia, Bonnie presented a Jazz Workshop for music students at the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture (video above).
Bonnie’s approach involves tailoring lessons specifically for each student, appreciating and cultivating the unique and inherent musicality within each individual.
She is able to accompany you, record backing tracks for you to rehearse with at home, and if requested, assist with arrangements, song-writing, recording, production and website design.
Lessons may be conducted at your home (if piano or keyboard are provided), via Skype or at Bonnie’s studio in Potts Point.
Weekly or fortnightly lessons are offered, allowing students to learn at a pace that suits their learning style and Bonnie also teaches at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM).
Students are encouraged to nominate songs that they’d like to learn, however suggestions and music can most certainly be provided.
