Brodie Everist is a saxophonist, flautist, songwriter and arranger. He holds a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University. During his time at Monash Brodie performed with international artists Andy Gravish and Charles Lloyd, recorded with Kenny Werner, and received scholarships to overseas study programs in New York and Prato. He has been taught by various Melbourne professional saxophonists including Julien Wilson, Ian Whitehouse and Tim Wilson. Brodie has been leading, composing and playing for his funk/disco band Hyjinx since 2013 and they have recently recorded their debut EP. You can also catch him playing around Melbourne in numerous jazz groups, including the Hangouts and the Lauren Irwin-Ray Quintet.
