Hi! My name is Caitlin Annesley. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, also attaining a University Medal for academic achievement. I also hold a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance (Distinction) from the same institution, where I placed first in my year and attained the Maurice Mears Memorial Prize for dedication to studies.

My career as a violist has seen me perform with the Queensland Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra (twice as Principal Viola, including a recent performance of Puccini Double Bill for the Brisbane Festival); tour internationally with the Queensland Youth Symphony, playing in prestigious venues such as the Wiener Musikverein, Hamburg Laieszhalle, and Singapore Esplanade Concert Hall; and perform with the Australian Youth Orchestra's Alexander Orchestra. I also recently played with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in its Spirit of the Wild opening gala, as well as playing with EnsembleQ and DeepBlue Orchestra.

Having overcome many obstacles in my own musical training, I seek to be a kind, encouraging and patient teacher to my students. I aim to nurture my students' individual love of music, whilst also ensuring they develop a healthy technique.

I maintain a small private studio in Auchenflower, teaching viola, piano and violin. Due to being a university student, I do not travel to students' homes at present.

My first instrument was the piano, and I have had a number of years' experience playing piano and keyboard in my church's worship band.
