Caitlin Benz

I am an oboe teacher from Sydney, having studied a Bachelor of Music (oboe performance) at Sydney Conservatorium of Music and currently studying a Master of Music (oboe performance). I teach all ages and levels, whether you are a beginner, doing an AMEB exam, playing for fun, focusing on playing in bands/orchestra etc. I have taught privately and at schools in Sydney, including Trinity Grammar School, Meriden, Sydney Girls High School and Cranbrook School. At the moment, I am offering exclusively online lessons so these can be done from the convenience of your own home with the option of a couple of in person lessons during the year. I have played with many ensembles including the Australian Youth Orchestra, NSW Police Band, Willoughby Symphony Orchestra & the George Ellis Orchestra and also play lots of chamber music. I incorporate a variety of skills into my lessons besides oboe, such as music theory and help playing with piano accompaniment, as I am also a pianist, having done extensive work as a piano teacher and AMEB accompanist.
