Caitlin Macdonald

Hi! My name is Caitlin Macdonald, I am 18 years old and currently a first year student at James Cook University studying education. I teach piano to students who are in a variety of different grades ranging from beginners to Grade 5 AMEB students. I also offer lessons to students who wish to learn piano through the Trinity syllabus, and am willing to teach beginners through to Grade 4. I have had experience with the Trinity program and was completed 5 years of Piano with them before I transferred to the AMEB system. I have competed in many of Townsville’s Eisteddfods often placing and have entered into the Casio Challenges on many occasions. I have been learning Piano for 13 years and I am currently completing my Grade 7 Piano AMEB exam. I completed my Grade 6 AMEB exam and received a credit (B) as my result. I received a high distinction in Grade 2 Music Craft although have not undertaken any exams since. I took music as a school elective in junior high school and received a Very High (A) in Grade 10 music, which covers not only practical elements but also theoretical and composition features. I am often involved with The Australian College of Music and regularly complete exams there. I offer a variety of times I am able to teach and charge $20 per half hour. I am very excited to expand my current musical knowledge through teaching and look forward to seeing what the year holds!
