Callum G'Froerer

I’m a professional trumpeter with 20 years of international experience playing jazz, classical, contemporary/pop, and commercial music. I teach trumpet students all genres of music, including all levels of AMEB repertoire.

I’ve taught at the University of Western Australia and the WA Academy of Performing Arts, and I have been teaching at Trinity Grammar School in Kew since 2019.

I have performed with most of the Australian symphony orchestras, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, and while l lived in Berlin in 2015-2018 I performed with the award-winning Potsdam Chamber Academy. I have performed in major musicals in Melbourne and as well as chamber opera projects with Victorian Opera. I have also released two jazz albums.

I teach trumpeters of all ages with passion, patience, and commitment. I teach fundamental skills as well as advanced techniques, and I tailor trumpet lessons to a student’s musical preferences. Lessons are always fun and interactive, and I encourage students to keep their interest in the trumpet going outside of our lessons with useful online links for listening to great trumpet music.

I teach from my home studio in Northcote and can travel to your home for lessons (add $5 for travel).
