Saxophone tuition is available at all of our locations and is best suited to students aged approximately 9 years or more. Of course this is flexible depending on the individual, and requires good strength and lung capacity along with big enough hands and a suitable height to manipulate the instrument.
Many students start out on clarinet and later transfer those skills to saxophone when they're big enough.
One of our specialist saxophone teachers is Lizzy Collier. Lizzy is a highly prolific musical educator in the ACT. After completing her BMus/BA from ANU in 2012 and Graduate Diploma of Education at ACU in 2013 she has begun her career as a full time music educator.
She continues to provide tutelage to a significant number of individual students, whilst also conducting the ANU concert band, recently highly acclaimed for its Toddler's Prom series, and performing frequently with indie group, Pocket Fox. A specialist in woodwinds, Lizzy teaches clarinet, saxophone and flute.
Lessons are available on all types of saxophone - soprano, alto, tenor, baritone.
