I have been a horn teacher and performer in the Canberra region since 1999, and am currently a Performance Teaching Fellow at ANU CSM, and Horn Teacher for several Canberra schools. I have several years experience in classroom music and incorporate musicianship and aural with my instrumental lessons.

I have been a member of the Australian Youth Orchestra, The Gryffin Ensemble and Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra. I am currently a member of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra and RMC Band Duntroon, and also perform regularly for musical productions, orchestras, community bands and in chamber music. Several of my students have gone on to tertiary study in Horn.

Students are encouraged, but not required, to sit for exams and perform recitals, and I provide encouraging and individually-designed lessons for each student, with a focus on playing for enjoyment. Musicianship, theory, ensemble training and instruction on other brass instruments (trumpet, trombone, euphonium and tuba) for beginners are also available.

My studio is located in Holt but venue for lessons can be negotiated. Online lessons are also available. Parents are welcome to observe lessons and official documentation can be provided if required.

Please send me an email or give me a call if you would like to get started.
