Now accepting new students in Preston.
I am an experienced music teacher, offering lessons in piano, keyboard and music theory to kids, teenagers and adults of all ages. I am a firm believer that music lessons should be fun and rewarding, while I work hard to ensure that students develop all important aspects of musicianship, including technical skills, musicality, aural skills, theory and history. I will personalise lessons to your specific needs, abilities and aspirations. I have ensured excellent results for all my students attending AMEB exams in piano and theory, although sitting exams is optional of course! I especially love contemporary music and try my best to find exciting contemporary repertoire for my students.
I received my L.Mus.A in piano in 2004, received one of the highest scores in VCE Solo Performance, and I also hold a Diploma in Music from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, for which I received First Class Honours. I have also reached an A.Mus.A level in violin and viola, played drums for a number of years, and have done all the necessary levels in theory. I have studied with renowned Melbourne pianists which have included Glenn Riddle, Mikhail Solovei and Stephen McIntyre. I hold a Bachelor of Music (Honours) majoring in composition from the University of Melbourne, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications). In my own time I enjoy making electronic music, composing and improvisation.
I am currently accepting new students in my home studio in Preston, or may consider travelling close by to my home.
